Biography
Carlos Carbonell is Head of Biochemistry and Surface Science Research at Glaucus Inc., where he leads the development of biochemical interfaces for the NanoBioChip™, a breakthrough platform for rapid, affordable at-home diagnostics. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and has over 20 years of combined industry and academic experience in hybrid materials, surface chemistry, and advanced manufacturing. Before joining Glaucus, he pioneered molecular printing and multimaterial fabrication strategies for sensors and smart architectures, securing competitive grants and publishing in journals such as JACS, Nature Communications, and Advanced Materials. His career integrates expertise in nanolithography, hybrid materials, and Metal-Organic Frameworks, developed through international appointments in Barcelona, New York, and Graz.
